The Synaxis of the Abbots and Abbesses from the Archiepiscopacy of Bucharest September 2014
Abbots and abbesses from the Archiepiscopacy of Bucharest gathered yesterday at the Caraiman Monastery from Buşteni, Prahova district, under the chairmanship of His beatitude Patriarch Daniel, in the monastic synaxis.
The event took place in the conference room of the Social Pastoral Center “Holy Cross” from the foot of the Caraiman mountains. The meeting started with the Divine Liturgy committed in the Altar of the big church by Archmandrite Teofil Anăstăsoaie, the administrative exarch of the Archiepiscopacy of Bucharest, together with a group of abbots from the monasteries of the diocese.
Yesterday’s meeting theme was the connection between penance and Eucharisty in the light of monastic life.
