The Visit of His beatitude Father Patriarch Daniel 6th May 2012

The pilgrims who visited on Sunday Caraiman Monastery from Buşteni and the monks who live here, enjoyed the visit of His beatitude Father Daniel, Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church. His Grace delivered a sermon, in which he discerned the spiritual meanings of the Sunday Paralytic Gospel.

The interpretation of the gospel ordained by the church in order to be read on the IVth Sunday after Easter, reports about the paralytic’s healing at the pool of Bethesda. Blessed Father Patriarch Daniel, spoke about the suffering caused by disease, about how we should relate to it and why people have to endure various diseases.

At the end, His beatitude Father Daniel, Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church, offered religious books to the abbot of the monastery, father David Petrovici, who was accompanied by the former abbot of the holy monastic settlement Gherontie Puiu.

The believers who attended yesterday the Divine Liturgy at the Caraiman Monastery received icons as a sign of blessing from His beatitude Father Patriarch Daniel.
