The Visit of His beatitude Father Patriarch Daniel, 12th June 2011

After consecrating the Monastery’s Church Holy Trinity from Buşteni, His beatitude Father Daniel, Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church, visited on Sunday, 12th of June 2011, at about 19:30, the Monastery The Exaltation of the Holy Cross – Caraiman, where he was welcomed by the monastery’s community.

The Patriarch of Romania congratulated Father Daniel Petrovici, Exarch of the mountain area of the Archiepiscopacy of Bucharest and abbot of Caraiman Monastery, but also Father Gherontie Puiu, for the work carried out at the monastic complex.

His beatitude Father Patriarch Daniel also offered to the library of the Caraiman Monastery the three volumes dedicated to the autocephaly of the Romanian Orthodox Church: “Autocephaly: Liberty and Dignity”, “Autocephaly and Responsibility”, “Autocephaly and Communion”. Hundreds of believers from Buşteni and from the surroundings attended at the consecration Service of the monastery’s chapel at the Monastery Holy Trinity in town. This was committed by His beatitude Father Daniel, Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church, accompanied by a group of priests and deacons.
